So now you have your vocation and tools to farm. You found the fields and farming vendors. So you are at the novice farmer you see a bunch of recipes and seeds there. Ignore the recipes each tier you unlock you get LOTRO Gold basic set of product that you already know. And those are for advance farming and not really needed for lvling to supreme master farmer. Vendor also has water and fertilizer for farming and critical soil once that option is unlock from a tier.

Now open your crafting window go to the farming tab click that and move down to apprentice and pick from the recipes there to plant. For each product you want to grow you will need fertilizer water and seeds. Each field takes 1 water 1 fertilizer and 5 seeds.

Now once you have that you will see a number next to the example tater field recipe that tells you how many fields you can plant. on the bottom right corner you will see a button marked make and a box next to it that you can select more than one field to make if you have enough ingredients," note though each field has a timer and must be harvested before it disappears and you loose the product form it!"

So now you have your stuff hit make button and wait for your char to stop planting a bar will show up on the bottom part your screen above your toolbar saying planting with a blue bar filling it up. Once that is done your field will appear and ready to harvest. Right click on the field and your char will start harvesting once finish a box will pop up showing that you got a set number of fair and poor bushels and sometimes rare items that some plants give. Click loot all (or you can use auto loot and all you do is right click on the field or use delete then U key for select field and harvest. This works when you plant fields on top of each other. You should plant no more than 5 fields or they will start to disappear before you can harvest), and you have product that needs to be taken to a work bench which is near the farm fields or any workbench will work and process them into seeds and finished product.
